I’m an aerospace engineer by training, but the embedded systems world won me over. I’ve spent the major part of my career working with embedded systems across aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial sectors.

My eye twitches when people say “vibe coding,” but I acknowledge AI is here to stay, and you would be a fool to ignore or reject it. The question isn’t whether to use these tools, but how to use them effectively and pragmatically.

From Agile to AI

I’ve been applying agile and DevOps techniques to embedded systems since 2009, long before it became widely accepted that this could even work.

I’ve been coaching, training and consulting on how to enable engineers to build better producs with less effort – and more fun.

I’m also the co-host of the Agile Embedded Podcast, where we explore modern development practices for embedded systems.

In recent years, I’ve focused increasingly on AI, LLMs, and AI-for-embedded:

  • Working with customers to introduce AI into their workflows (using my experience as an agile coach)
  • Helping them ideate and develop new AI-enabled products
  • Working with customers harnessing AI to stay on top of their sprawling legacy codebases
  • I even went ahead and had my AI skills certified by TÜV
